
While partnering trends for drug delivery were down in 2012, Dan Stanton of
in-Pharma Technologist believes that this will change for 2013. Many large Pharma companies will need to refill their pipelines which will lead to more deals this year. Another reason this is the case is that biologics are making a big push in the market. Other drug delivery methods that will be prevalent in 2013 include injectables and oral delivery. Other items also gaining steam include nasal, buccal and sublingual. Holding those delivery methods back are the difficulty it takes to self administer.
