Ultrasounds could be effective in delivering cancer drugs

The French company EDAP TMS and Norwegian company Epitarget have partnered to discover that high intensity focused ultrasounds are effective at delivering cancer drugs, specifically delivering and activating liposomes containing doxorubicin.

According to Fierce Drug Delivery, Epitarget CEO Esben Nilssen stated "Our team is very excited that the demonstration of Epitarget's ultrasound sensitive liposomes in combination with therapeutic ultrasound enhanced the efficacy of established cancer drugs."
