DDP opened my eyes!

DDP OPENED MY EYES!
By Bob Nissen, 2011 Drug Delivery Partnerships Advisory Board Member, Co-Chairman

My first experience with DDP was 2006, when I had the privilege of serving as a panel member in an OTC workshop. I have never missed DDP since that time; 2011 will be my sixth year in a row!

I have worked full time with a number of large OTC pharmaceutical companies in senior marketing and business development roles: Abbott Labs, GD Searle, Schering-Plough HealthCare Products, and Novartis Consumer Health. What excited me in my first visit to DDP was the variety of unique and potentially business building technologies that I had never seen before. The greatest value in learning about these technologies and meeting the Drug Delivery companies and professionals for the first time was that I was able to conduct many business meetings within a 3-day period! This would have taken months if I had tried to research and meet with these companies on my own one at a time. And, of course, I may have missed some of the best ones!

DDP WAS A QUALIFIER FOR ME! Once I understood the Drug Delivery technologies, I then was later able to meet with the most applicable companies and their teams back at the office to discuss application to any brands that I was supporting. Not only me- but my colleagues were able to learn and understand firsthand how technologies could build their businesses and provide their brands with a competitive edge. And shouldn’t that be our business objective?

And that just covers the exhibit hall and networking! Did I mention the keynote speakers, the panels and the workshops? The Wall Street overview on Drug Delivery Companies? The State of the Drug Delivery Industry? Health Care Reform? And so many other quality presentations that you will definitely leave knowing more and bringing value added to your position and company. I even met Olympic swimmer Gary Hall Jr., a speaker at one conference, and tried to get advice on my flip turns!

Whether on the manufacturer side, the drug delivery side or the supplier side, it all adds up!

Come join me at DDP 2011- in Miami from January 26-28, 2011! YOUR EYES, TOO, WILL BE OPENED!
