FDA approves new syringe approved for hemophilia patients

According to Pharmaceutical Business Review, Pfizer announced the approval of their dual pre-loaded syringe for hemophilia A patients. This new syringe is pre-loaded with Xyntha intravenously (IV) after reconstitution of a freeze-dried powder with the diluent (0.9% Sodium Chloride). These two combine drugs help the patients control and prevent bleeding episodes.

According to Sue Geraghty, nurse coordinator at University of Colorado School of Medicine Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center, it's a convenient way to administer the medicine which will save time and effort for the patient.
